Is This Pregnancy?

Early Pregnancy Symptoms, Early Signs Of Pregnancy, Pregnancy Problems No Comments

A young woman is alarmed when she starts suffering from nausea and weakness accompanied with lethargy. Apparently she cannot link it to food poisoning or stomach upset, yet she is not feeling well.
Had you been in her place would you have been surprised, or puzzled, or simply bogged down with sheer discomfort?  Womanly instinct instantly tells us to interpret these as very early symptoms of pregnancy.

But then these are not the only signs. Some other very early pregnancy markers are tender and painful breasts, constipation, and frequent urge for urination. The most compelling one is missed period. However, all these signs could be linked to causes, other than pregnancy and moreover, different women experience different symptoms with differing intensities. So it is better to refer to pregnancy guide. This is not a substitute for your doctor but helps you through your confusions.

Are these problems pregnancy problems or indicate different issues? Even missed period could be linked to multiple causes other than pregnancy, for example, stress, change in routine, effect of medication etc. So the first thing is to get the root cause of these symptoms. If the root cause is pregnancy, then these are only symptoms not pregnancy problems.

The mental frame of mind that you are in determines the nature of your pregnancy. If you take it as a problem you are in for bigger problems. Although not a treatment, a healthy positive mental framework helps you take these in your stride and minimize the discomfort. A suffering person may deride these as simply words, but the fact is that positive or negative, the effect is powerful and real.

No other aspect in a woman’s life is as important as pregnancy, as this is associated with extending ones’ self to the next generation. Nothing can be more powerful and effective than this in terms of self gratification and personal worthiness.
