Warning Signs That Are NOT Symptoms
Here are some health warning signs that might be, but should not be construed as pregnancy signs:
Excessive breathlessness : is one pregnancy sign that is also a symptom of some other medical complication. If you find yourself gasping for breath far too often, it may be a sign of heart or blood problems, Diabetes, or Hydroaminios, which occurs due to the accumulation of amniotic fluid in your sac.
Blurred vision : This is a sign of high blood pressure or fluid retention.
Bleeding from the vagina : Although vaginal bleeding or spotting is normal in the early stages of pregnancy, take excessive bleeding seriously. It may be a sign of complications in the placenta or could even be miscarriage.
Excessive pain in the abdomen : Abdominal cramps are normal as long as they are not persistent. Else it may be a sign of premature labor, miscarriage, or placenta problems.
Excessive vaginal discharge : It's true that vaginal discharge increases during pregnancy, but this discharge should be white, sticky, and odorless. If you find foul smelling, too thin, transparent, or frothy, greenish, or yellow discharge in your underwear, it may be a cervical secretion or leaking amniotic fluid, which is a serious matter.
Profound swelling of your fingers and face : Pregnancy doesn't mean you have to swell everywhere. Watch out for this sign; it indicates high blood pressure.
Continuous vomiting : Throwing up once or twice is fine, but persistent vomiting requires medical attention.
Excessive thirst : Beware, you may have diabetes!
Severe and persistent headache : You may be suffering from rhinitis or an allergy.
Getting chills or fever : It indicates an infection in your reproductive organs or urinary tract. Call your doctor immediately.
