Having in a clean bill of health is what a woman's body needs before conceiving because the health of the baby depends entirely upon the health of the mother. A woman must start pregnancy off on the very right foot so that long-term happiness is guaranteed. A combination of right food and correct exercise routine makes pregnancy a possibility.

But where does it begin.?? How to prepare yourself.?? We have brought to you a few tips that can surely help you begin right:

A healthier diet, containing essential proteins, vitamins, minerals, fibers, and other nutrients such as folic acid, is a must when it comes to preparing to conceive.

There are almost fifteen key nutrients that come from grains. A woman's diet must be packed with nature's own greens, yellows, and reds. This nutrient-packed food diet includes fruits and vegetables, such as blueberries, kale, and red peppers.
Fat, extra sugar, preservatives, and other additives must be cut-off from your daily diet.
 
If you are working, then include grapes, carrot sticks, raisins, vegetable sandwiches in your packing bag so that any munching is done in a hale and hearty manner.

Exercising on a regular basis at least three times a week for half an hour is a great fitness regime. Preconception exercises could be various things like walking, aerobics, cycling, and treadmill walking.

Organic fruits and vegetables contain antioxidants and these foods also have comparatively higher levels of minerals like zinc and iron.

Recreational drugs are not illegal, but still, they can adversely affect a woman's body. Smoking cigarettes and consumption of alcohol in minor or major amounts should be stopped completely if you are planning for pregnancy.

Illegal drugs such as cocaine, heroine, and marijuana must be strictly avoided. These drugs pose many difficulties if consumed during pregnancy or even after that because they cause problems such as the death of fetus, retardation and developmental problems in a newborn child, and problems of central nervous system, heart, limbs, and skull.

The above mentioned are the things to be included in the daily routine of a woman who is planning to conceive. Often in learning and following all these things, she misses out on those things that are strictly no-no to her for staying healthy. It is also a fact that women ignore healthy eating and proper lifestyle regime advice before conceiving even when the pregnancy is fully planned by both the partners.

Ignorance of women in this term of getting pregnant further adds to the problem. The whole issue is that women themselves don't know when they are going to get pregnant. So, here the core of everything remains the same that complete knowledge of eating right and exercising according to the requirement of one's body is of utmost importance.

Last but surely not the least; consulting a doctor, preferably a gynecologist, is always the best option. The stage of preconception is that perfect opportunity which prepares you for the upcoming phase of pregnancy, resulting soon in a healthy child in your arms. In a nutshell, a better chance to conceive a child in the pink of health is possible only when you are healthy yourself.
