Most babies do not sleep throughout the night, as they require a feed at small intervals due to a small digestive system. Ensuring that your baby sleeps on its back reduces the risk of sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS).
Your child needs to be fed after every two to four hours in the early days and weeks of life. However, some have to be woken up so that they are properly fed. As babies tend to swallow air while eating, you need to burp them. Try getting the baby to burp after being fed.
Bonding with the baby is the most pleasurable experience for new parents. This greatly contributes to the baby's emotional and physical growth.
