Low Back Pain And Constipation Are Very Early Pregnancy Symptoms

Very early pregnancy symptoms are not the same for every woman. In fact, your own symptoms may vary from one pregnancy to another. If this is the first time you are getting pregnant, you may have a tough journey, as the varying changes happening in your body for the complete nine months are going to be all new for you. Things are often much smoother for second time - not just because you have got experience, but also because your body is ready to accept those changes. Here is a brief rundown on what you can expect in the early stages.

Heartburn And Constipation

Heartburn and/or constipation are one of those very early pregnancy symptoms that are likely to last throughout your pregnancy term. If you are trying to conceive, you are very much likely to experience these irritating changes within a couple of weeks after conception. Therefore, you are recommended not to take any medicine, such as anti-acids that you usually take for such problems. You had better consult a doctor.

Constipation is mainly caused because of the increased production of hormones, as they slow down the digestion process in an objective to allow your body to absorb as much nutrients, minerals, vitamins as possible from the ingested food. Swelling of the uterus can be another reason, as it pushes against the stomach and other organs. Constipation may also lead to a feeling of heartburn, as the body is likely to produce increased stomach acid to help with the digestion process. That is the reason why doctors always suggest that you take smaller but more frequent meals, as they can be easily digested. Besides that, digestive enzymes from papaya and pineapple fruits and drinking plenty of water can also help with digestion.

Lower Back Pain

Along with the usual very early pregnancy symptoms, such as morning sickness, nausea, missed period, increased basal temperature, frequent need to urinate, and the feeling of dizziness, you are also likely to experience low back pain with mild to high intensity. You may start experiencing this as early as just two weeks after you conceive. There are several factors that cause back pain. For example, the most common reason is that you gain weight when you are expecting. With every passing week, your baby grows larger and your uterus gets bigger. Now, since the additional weight is mainly in the front of your torso, it will obviously cause a strain on your back. Your sleeping posture may also change with the other physical and emotional changes in your body. In order to get comfortable, you may be lying on your side. Even at this early stage, you can start using the maternity pillow, as it will help you deal with the lower back pain.

Craving for unusual combinations of foods is a well-known very early pregnancy symptom. After conception, when the hormonal levels increase dramatically, you are very much likely to develop a new taste for food. Ask a mother and she will tell you funny stories about food cravings during her pregnancy. Have you always hated warm peach pie topped with vanilla ice cream? If yes, you may strongly like to try it now!
