Looking For An Early Sign Of Pregnancy

If you have the misconception that there is a particular early sign of pregnancy, think again. There is no particular checklist that tells you of that one specific early pregnancy symptom that confirms you are pregnant.

Every pregnant woman has different signs of pregnancy. There may be some women with no pregnancy symptoms at all. Many a times, your body may give you a hint of that early sign of pregnancy even before you take a pregnancy test.

The Early Signs

Here are some signs of pregnancy you may experience. Any one of these could be your early sign of pregnancy.

1. Light bleeding, caused by implantation of the embryo to the walls of your uterus. This is known to occur in about one third of all pregnancies. The bleeding could be either pink or brown in color.

2. One of the best known symptoms of pregnancy is the feeling of nausea. This occurs early in pregnancy, and the feeling of nausea grows from slight to more aggressive. If the pregnancy is not planned, nausea could be the first indication that you are pregnant.

3. You may feel fatigued early on in your pregnancy. This is attributed to the changes in hormonal levels, in your body's chemistry, and in the increased load of work your body does when you conceive. Many confuse this symptom with the normal feeling of tiredness and exhaustion. When fatigue occurs, you can overcome it by going to bed earlier and sleep as late as you can.

4. The changes in your hormonal levels could also cause a feeling of tenderness in your breasts. Your breasts may feel fuller and enlarged. They may feel swollen in the first days after conception. From the moment you conceive, your body starts to prepare itself for the development of the embryo and the birth of your child. The feeling of tenderness may reduce and disappear after some time.

5. Increased urination is another early sign of pregnancy, and occurs due to hormonal changes.

6. A missed period is one of the usual signs of pregnancy, especially if you have regular periods. If your periods are irregular, and a missed period does not ring the bell, the feeling of nausea, along with a missed period, is sure to confirm pregnancy.

Documenting Your Early Signs

Women generally record their experiences during pregnancy in a pregnancy journal. You, too, can record all your experiences, including your most early sign of pregnancy, your journey through the months of pregnancy, the emotional and physical changes you see and feel, among the myriad others.
